  • Materials Engineer

    Job Duties:
    • Synthesize and tune fundamental physical & chemical properties of Tanovus TANO3D materials, and,
        Ⅰ Evolve materials design to address product and application requirements.
        Ⅱ Analyze materials and associated data using a variety of methods to determine material properties (structure, chemical, electronic, thermal, and/or mechanical).
        Ⅲ Determine process-property correlations to iterate materials development.
    • Evolve materials design to address product and application requirements.
    • Use scientific, mathematical, and engineering principles to solve problems and improve processes.
    • Demonstrate ability to perform advanced scientific problem solving and effectively communicate results.
    • Designing, proposing, implementing, and reviewing plans to ensure company goals are achieved.
    • Work on a cross-functional team with an open mind to new ideas in a fast-paced startup environment

    Job Requirements: Job entails working with and requires master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Engineering, Physics or relevant with Candidate must have 2 years professional experience in:
    • Energy material sector, which requires extensive knowledge in lithium-ion battery anodes, cathodes, lithium-metal battery materials, etc.
    • New material/application development, which requires communication skills with customers and deep understanding of the market need.
    • Product management, which requires progress management skills and understanding of common fallacies in developing new products

  • Material Engineer

    Responsibilities include but not limited to:

    1. Analyze materials and associated data using a variety of methods to determine material properties (structure, chemical, electronic, thermal, and/or mechanical);
    2. Determine process-property correlations to iterate materials development;
    3. Evolve materials design to address product and application requirements;
    4. Use scientific, mathematical, and engineering principles to solve problems and improve processes;

    Minimum qualifications:

    1. A master or Ph.D. degree in physics, material science or related engineering disciplines;
    2. At least 3 years of industry experience in energy materials;
    3. Proficiency in reviewing and analyzing data sets through known correlation methods;
    4. Experience determining process-property correlations;
    5. Hands-on experience in metrology and materials characterization (structure, surface, chemical, electrical, mechanical, elemental);
    6. Excellent written and oral communication skills;
    7. Self-motivated and safety conscious;
    8. Ability to work independently and to participate creatively in a collaborative team environment;
    9. Competency to work on multiple tasks in a limited amount of time and to independently set priorities to accomplish numerous tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Battery Scientist

    Responsibilities include but not limited to:

    1. Design, test and optimize the integration of Tanovus materials in Li-ion battery systems at battery cell;
    2. Work on a cross-functional team with an open mind to new ideas in a fast-paced startup environment;
    3. Demonstrate ability to perform advanced scientific problem solving to improve processes and effectively communicate results;
    4. Designing, proposing, implementing, and reviewing plans to ensure company goals are achieved.

    Minimum qualifications:

    1. Master or Ph.D. degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, physics, material science and engineering or related disciplines;
    2. 3+ years of hands-on work experience in lithium-ion battery;
    3. Experience bringing complex device analysis and test concepts from concept to general use;
    4. Understanding of materials and energy storage;
    5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
    6. Ability to present clear and concise recommendations to senior management;
    7. Critical thinker.
